TheIndonesia.id - At least four people died in a road accident in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, when a truck that allegedly encountered brake failure hit dozens of vehicles that were stopping at a red light.

On Friday, January 21, Twitter user @e81n posted a CCTV footage of the accident that showed the moment the truck rammed into cars and motorbikes that stopped during a red light. The truck went at full speed as it allegedly experienced brake problems.

The hit caused instant damages to the vehicles, and victims can be seen thrown to the road.

East Kalimantan Police reported that as of 12.00 p.m. local time, four people died, one person was in critical condition, four people were severely injured, and 17 were slightly injured in the accident.

Victims are being treated at Khanujoso, Beriman, and Ibnu Sina hospitals.
