TheIndonesia.id - The Police has revealed that the Khilafatul Muslimin group has also established and managed at least two universities that teach caliphate, in addition to the dozens of affiliated schools that have been uncovered by police.

The Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police’s Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) revealed all these educational institutions were established by the organization to spread the caliphate ideology, and national ideology Pancasila is also not taught at these schools and universities.

“These schools are based on caliphate and never taught Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution,” director of the Ditreskrimum Pol. Grand Commissioner Hengki Haryadi said on Thursday, June 16, as reported by Antara.

The students were reportedly ordered to only obey rules in caliphate, and they didn’t have to obey the government. Khilafatul Muslimin even called government system outside caliphate as taghut or evil powers.

Haryadi also revealed that educational stages set out by the organization are three-year elementary school, two-year junior high school, and two-year senior high school. Afterwards, students will spend two years to complete education at university level.

“There are two universities – one in Bekasi and another one in West Nusa Tenggara. Upon university graduation, students will receive a degree in Islamic caliphate,” he explained.

According to Haryadi, the police also seized certificates of educational institutions owned by the group as criminal evidence.

“It also became our concern that these students were never taught Pancasila, and they weren’t allowed to salute the flag other than that of Khilafatul Muslimin,” Haryadi said.

Earlier this week, the police also confirmed the affiliation of nearly 30 schools with Khilafatul Muslimin where caliphate was taught.
