TheIndonesia.id - Pinrang Police in South Sulawesi has examined two witnesses for an allegation of paying a man to get vaccine jabs under their name. They allegedly use the vaccine jockey services of Abdul Rahim (49 years).

Quoting KabarMakassar.com -- Suara.com network, the police have also asked for information from Abdul Rahim.

"Two people we have examined from the 14 lists of names circulating. We have carried out an in-depth investigation of AR (Abdul Rahim) who has vaccinated 16-17 times," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pinrang Police, AKP Deki Marizaldi, when met in his office, Tuesday, December 21, 2021.

Deki said the two witnesses were a man named JF and a woman named AS. Abdul Rahim allegedly received the Covid-19 vaccines under JF's son and AS husband.

Abdul Rahim, a resident of BTN Residence Tiga Berlian, Bentenge Village, Watang Sawitto District, Pinrang, is desperate for taking this dangerous job due to economic needs. He does not have a permanent job.

“So he took advantage of his job as a vaccine jockey at the invitation of his family as well as on behalf of (another man) BD for personal gain. He has been working as a vaccine jockey for three months,” he explained.

Deki said that no party had been harmed in this case. If any party is harmed, they should report it to the police. "We are still waiting and coordinating with the Pinrang Regency Covid-19 Task Force. Whether the task force reports this case," said Deki.

The Adjunct Commissioner of Police admitted that the police are still investigating the information circulating that Abdul Rahim is a Person with Mental Disorders. "There must be several expert witnesses or psychiatrists to determine whether AR is a mental disorder or not," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a resident of Pinrang Regency was suspected of being a Vaccine Jockey or being injected with a Covid-19 vaccine for someone else at a rate of up to IDR 800,000 ($57) per person.

It went viral in the WhatsApp groups. The 31-second video is in the name of Abdul Rahim (49) and claims to have been a vaccine jockey for 14 people and has been vaccinated 16 times with a wage rate of Rp. 100,000 to Rp. 800,000 ($7 to $57) per person.
