TheIndonesia.co - Bali’s provincial COVID-19 Task Force has prepared 1,500 beds in isolation centers as it prepares for the surge of Omicron cases.
The Task Force secretary I Made Rentin said on Tuesday, January 11, that 700 beds are managed by his office while the 800 beds are managed by task forces at the municipal level.
Rentin also revealed that even though no Omicron case has been detected in Bali, but the province has been implemented six measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 variant.
Besides monitoring borders more strictly through implementing quarantine rules, authorities also strengthen the tracing, test, and surveillance procedures.

The provincial government also continues to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination and pushes the public to always to PeduliLindungi app to monitor mobility.
It also ensures the preparedness of 62 referral hospitals and, lastly, prepares the 1,500 beds for isolation.
“Daily testing is above 12,500 people, and this includes those who take antigen test to meet travel requirements and those who are included in close contact tracing of confirmed cases,” Rentin explained.
As of January 10, there were 58 active cases in Bali; 36 patients were hospitalized, nine patients were treated in isolation centers, and the remaining 13 were self-isolating.
