Saying thank you to your body is one of the most important things you can do. It is not a habit that comes naturally because people are constantly telling us to fit the box of social standards. Unconsciously, we hate our bodies for not fitting into the standard. 

Quoting Healthline, Here are five ways you can appreciate your body with simple rituals for self-love and wellness

1. Meditation

Meditation is a good way to center yourself. When your mind starts to racing, thinking about many things incessantly, you can always turn to meditation. Meditation is one of the most accessible ways to love your body because you can do it anywhere. All you need to do is find a quiet, comfortable space, close your eyes, breathe, and let your mind be silent. 

If you don't know where to start, you can just prefer guided meditation. We recommend you download an app. There are a lot of great apps out there that can guide you through your meditation. When you dedicate yourself to easing your mind every day, you will reap the benefits of meditation as your own wellness advocate.

2. Practice Mindfulness

Moving your body in a mindful way is very different than exercising or working out. Mindful movement is not about forcing yourself to do something you hate. It is about tuning in to your body and asking what you need. Some examples are walking outdoors with your dogs, and looking at the sky, the flowers, and other beautiful things around you. 

Find a way to move that makes both your body and mind feel good. If you haven't found your mindful movement of choice, keep looking. Maybe a hike or a yoga class is what you are looking for? 

3. Surround yourself with joy 

Where do you spend most of your time? Do you feel a burst of joy there? If not, the next step is to create an environment you absolutely love. 

Surrounding yourself with things you loved is an act of self-love. 

4. Ask for help

Self-love is asking for help. When you’re having a hard time, you’ll be surprised that most people do want to be there for you. It may be hard to be vulnerable and ask for help, but one of the best ways to get through a tough time is to get the support you need.
It’s okay to not be okay. The point is, you don’t have to go through it alone. Asking for the support you need is a gift that you get to give yourself.

5. Healthy Living Style 

You know health is expensive, right? So, by keeping our lives healthy and fit we must also have a healthy lifestyle. If our body is healthy, we will also be comfortable and feel excited. However, if we are sick, in what you think is the happiest thing. The reason is, our pain is not that happy. Take care of your health as well as possible.
