TheIndonesia.id - The technology-based health service (telehealth) Klinik Pintar announced the closing of its Series A funding round which managed to raise fresh funds worth US$4.15 million (Rp58 billion). This investment was led by Golden Gate Ventures (GGV), PT. Bundamedik Tbk (BMHS), Skystar Capital, and Sequis Life.

The CEO of the Smart Clinic, Harya Bimo, in his statement on Sunday, November 21, 2021, explained that this closing strengthened Klinik Pintar's effort in building a connected health ecosystem through clinical digitization.

“In line with the growth of our network over the past year which reached more than 120 clinics in 60 cities from Aceh to Papua, this over-subscribed Series A funding marks a positive signal from investors on Klinik Pintar roadmap to expand its network to reach more than 400 clinics in less than 2 years,” said Harya.

This funding is also focused on adding new service portfolios, especially services for mothers & children, strengthening supply chain support for clinics, and connecting clinic networks in an integrated health ecosystem with Klinik Pintar support partners, such as hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and others to improve network interoperability.

"The strategic plan that we have prepared is expected to make it easier for clinics in our network to develop their business and continue to improve service quality," added Harya.

Harya explained that Klinik Pintar also continues to develop a digital platform called Klinik OS (Operating System). Klinik OS's role is to digitize operations and empower clinics through digital technology which includes online and offline end-to-end services, standardization of comprehensive SOPs, inventory and managerial management, and digitally connecting between clinics in the network and with other supporting partners.

Justin Hall as the representative of GGV expressed his optimism for the growth of the Indonesian healthcare industry. “Indonesia has a huge potential for growth in the healthcare industry and Klinik Pintar plays a role in this growth by building an integrated health ecosystem. This then convinced us to support Klinik Pintar in advancing the health system through funding support," said Justin.

In line with Justin, dr. Ivan Sini as the representative of BMHS who is also a strategic partner of the Klinik Pintar said this funding is a form of investor confidence in the services offered by Klinik Pintar.

Raditya Pramana as a representative of Venturra Discovery who has previously disbursed initial funding for Klinik Pintar hopes that this Series A funding will further strengthen the existence of the Klinik Pintar and become a leading company in the clinic sector.
