In several Instagram accounts, Lumajang residents have also uploaded videos of residents, Disaster Agency officers, military personnel, and police working hand in hand to look for victims trapped in villages. They are monitoring the condition of settlements after the eruption.

So far it has been reported that 300 families have evacuated. Then, as many as one resident died, two people were missing, eight to ten people were trapped, 70 people were taken to the community health centers because of burns, and 300 families were evacuated.

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) has sent a rapid response team as well as logistical assistance such as food, tents, and blankets to help deal with the impact of the eruption of Mount Semeru in the East Java region.

"And East Java Province BPBD bringing logistics such as blankets, ready-to-eat food, tarpaulins, emergency tents, and other basic logistics," said BNPB Head Lt. Gen. Suharyanto, Sunday, December 5, 2021.

The head of BNPB on Sunday morning left for Lumajang Regency, East Java, to inspect the areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. He will ensure that the evacuation and handling of disaster victims was carried out appropriately and quickly.

Provisional data compiled by the BNPB Operations and Control Center on Saturday, the hot cloud fall from Mount Semeru affected six villages in two sub-districts in Lumajang Regency, East Java province, and the volcanic ash fall affected 11 villages in nine sub-districts.
