The head of BNPB on Sunday morning left for Lumajang Regency, East Java, to inspect the areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. He will ensure that the evacuation and handling of disaster victims was carried out appropriately and quickly.
Provisional data compiled by the BNPB Operations and Control Center on Saturday, the hot cloud fall from Mount Semeru affected six villages in two sub-districts in Lumajang Regency, East Java province, and the volcanic ash fall affected 11 villages in nine sub-districts.
