TheIndonesia.id - A massive three-meter corpse flower grows on a coffee plantation owned by local farmer in Aceh province.

Plantation owner Jamaludin said the giant plant first grew three weeks ago in his plantation which is located in Wih Resap village in Bandar subdistrict, Bener Meriah regency, Aceh.

According to him, the growth has been quite rapid, and currently, the flower stands at around three meters tall.

“It’s now more than three meters tall,” Jamaludin confirmed, as reported by Antara on Thursday, March 3.

He also explained that the corpse flower has a green color with black spots on the stem and a red color on the flower bud. It also emits the typical unpleasant, rotting odor.

A number of similar corpse flowers also grow on the plantation, but currently they’re still in smaller sizes.

“Similar to this one but smaller. I don’t know what type they are. They grew on the plantation before, but we usually cut them because we thought they were weed,” Jamaludin explained.
