TheIndonesia.id - A new surveyed has revealed Tokopedia as one of the top 10 best companies to work for in Indonesia, alongside the likes of Pertamina and Unilever.
In Indonesian Employers of Choice Award 2022 by SWA Magazine and consulting firm Korn Ferry, 10 companies were named the best workplaces in Indonesia based on a jobseeker survey conducted in 2021 and 2022. Included in the list are Tokopedia, Pertamina, Bank BCA, Bank Mandiri, Unilever, and Telkom Indonesia.
The Top 10 Best Workplace (Top of Mind) category was based on respondents’ consideration in choosing a company to work for based on a number of aspects, including company image (60 percent), salary (37 percent), career (37 percent), interest (36 percent), benefit (28 percent), others (25 percent), work environment (10 percent), and facility (eight percent).
More than 4,800 respondents (82 percent of university students and 18 percent of employees with at least two years of experience) took part in the survey – from the Greater Jakarta area (33 percent), Bandung (24 percent), Central Java-Yogyakarta (21 percent), and East Java (22 percent).
Tokopedia successfully becomes one of the most desirable workplaces in Indonesia as the majority of jobseekers in the country are millennials that look for companies that take serious care of the wellbeing of employees and allow them to work more flexibly.
VP of people and office management at Tokopedia Nanang Chalid said one of the company’s focuses is to build a strong image that can reach the young jobseekers by offering that flexibility.
“Tokopedia’s employer branding program is realized by utilizing various digital channels for communications,” Chalid said, adding that its employer branding programs are done both internally and externally.
