TheIndonesia.id - The Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Tjahjo Kumolo has died on Friday, July 1, at Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Menteng, Jakarta, after being treated since mid-June.

Ministerial secretary Rini Widyantini confirmed the passing of the Minister.

“Bapak Minister has returned to Allah SWT today at 11.10 WIB,” Widyantini said in statement, adding that further information regarding the funeral will be shared soon.

Politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P) Masinton Pasaribu revealed that Kumolo was admitted to the hospital since June and received intensive treatment since then.

Kumolo also wasn’t present at the party’s national working meeting in June 21 as he was hospitalized.

Pasaribu said based on information he’d received, Kumolo died of complications. He was 64.
