TheIndonesia.id - Human resource management automation (HR) platform, Omni HR, announced Pre-Seed funding of USD 2.4 million (equivalent to Rp36 billion) led by Alpha JWC Ventures and Picus Capital, with participation from FEBE Ventures, Basis Set Ventures, Ratio Ventures, and Frances Kang at Horizons Ventures.

Florian Reichert, Partner & Managing Director Picus Capital, in a press release on Tuesday, considered the presence of the Omni HR startup to be able to encourage digitalization in HR management.

"HR is the most important part of any business. We believe the Southeast Asian market still lacks a comprehensive and localized system to manage the workforce efficiently and is easy to use. Omni HR has built a superior solution on top of basic administrative functionality by automating workflows across the HR department," said Florian Reichert, Partner & Managing Director, Picus Capital in a press release received by Antara on Tuesday, July 26, 2022.

The need for such a system is becoming important with the increasing amount of software deployed in enterprises and the growing number of remote workforces that are difficult to manage with traditional IT infrastructure.

In line with Reichert, Jeffrey Joe, Co-Founder and General Partner Alpha JWC Ventures, considers that the comprehensive HR management platform built by Omni HR addresses the problems faced by most types of companies. "We believe Omni HR has the unique potential to grow fast and become the best HR software of choice for businesses in Southeast Asia," said Joe.

Founded in 2021 by Brian Ip and YC Chan, Omni HR provides a management platform and system that helps companies digitize and automate various employee data from entry to exit. Companies in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, are starting to digitize processes and activities of employee management and company operations. However, no software can answer this need properly. Most software on the market only supports basic administrative functions, so there are still a lot of processes that are done manually by employees.

Omni HR exists as an employee management platform that allows organizations to digitize employee records, automates administrative tasks, and uses these data easily and integrates with various existing systems. “In addition, HR software also requires a local approach that can adapt features to different employment rules in each country. We as a Southeast Asian startup have the opportunity to better understand what companies need in each country, but on the other hand, we also have a regional and global perspective to bring the best innovations to our platform users," said Omni HR Co-Founder, Brian Ip.

Since its soft launch in March 2022, Omni HR has been adopted by several companies to automate manual HR processes such as administration for new employees, management of leave requests, and document management. Now, Omni HR is ready to expand throughout Southeast Asia, with the main focus on Indonesia and Singapore. With this new funding, Omni HR will continue to add features to its platform, such as recruitment and performance review features, which will be launched later this year.
