TheIndonesia.co - Penjabat Gubernur Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) or Acting Governor for East Nusa Tenggara, Andriko Noto Susanto, confirmed that global football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) will still make his highly anticipated visit to Kupang, NTT. However, the schedule has shifted from the originally planned date of Tuesday, February 18, 2025, to Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
In a statement made at his office in the NTT Governor’s office, Andriko explained that the arrival of the former Real Madrid player had been rescheduled. "There has been a change in Ronaldo's arrival in Kupang. He just arrived in Jakarta today and will now fly to Kupang on Wednesday," he said according Antara News Agency, referring to the football legend's visit for a charitable cause.
Andriko mentioned that he was informed of the schedule change by NTT's Head of Youth and Sports, Kadispora. "Earlier this morning, I was told that he would arrive tomorrow, but then there was another adjustment," he added.
Ronaldo, currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, will be arriving on his private jet after a one-day break in Jakarta.

Andriko further stated that if Ronaldo were to arrive as initially planned, he himself would have been there to personally greet the football icon. However, since his term as acting governor ends today, the arrival will now be welcomed by the Assistant Secretary of NTT’s Provincial Government.
The governor believes that Ronaldo's visit will have significant impact on the province, especially in the areas of football and tourism. Furthermore, he noted that the arrival of the football legend would inspire young people in NTT. However, as of now, Andriko has not received detailed information regarding the official agenda for CR7’s visit to Kupang.
