BKSDA is investigating the death of a male Sumatran elephant in a rubber plantation located in Suo-suo village in Tebo regency, Jambi.
A herd of wild elephants ransacked a replanting area in Alue Rubek Gampong Gunong Buloh, Panga District, Aceh Jaya Regency. The herd has occupied the area since two days ago.

Based on the necropsy result, there was no attempt of violence, but blood came out of his nose, mouth, ears and anus. This means that there is an indication that the elephant ate a fruit that may be poisonous.
