TheIndonesia.id - Fifteen startups were selected to participate in the Startup Studio Indonesia batch 4 intensive incubation program initiated by the Ministry of Communication and Information. They were selected from thousands of applicants.
"We congratulate the 15 startups that have been selected and take part in the Startup Studio Indonesia batch 4 program," said Director General of Information and Communications Applications Semuel Abrijani Pangerapan in a virtual event, Monday, April 4, 2022.
Pangerapan said the 15 startups had gone through a rigorous selection process by a board of curators, eliminating thousands of applicants from various regions in the country. The assessment is carried out based on the profile of the startup founder, attractiveness, potential to improve the sector and industry, as well as the differentiation and locality factors of each startup.
The 15 selected startups are Transporta, Wilov, Mufit, Envio, Allure AI, Ternaksia, OkeGarden, Paygua, Kendali, Surplus, Friendchised, Seryu Cargo, Universitas 123, Kibble, and Aksel.
The fourth batch of the Startup Studio Indonesia program will take place from April to July 2021 with the theme "More Brainstorming, Less Classes". Pangerapan said Startup Studio Indonesia focuses on providing knowledge and practical insights through training sessions by more than 60 trainers who are active and leading startup practitioners.
The training session will focus on discussing the iteration of product use and business models, as well as improving product usage retention before entering the market expansion stage. This was done to help prepare them to face market uncertainty.
"The implementation of the 4th batch of Startup Studio Indonesia emphasizes the spirit of collaboration between startup actors to jointly build a strong digital economy ecosystem through knowledge transfer, character building, and highly competitive startup competencies," said Pangerapan.
The selected startups will participate in Founder's Camp and 1-on-1 Coaching sessions related to product-market-fit for four months. The Startup Studio Indonesia series of programs will then be closed with Milestone Day, where startups have the opportunity to present their business models and achievements in front of startup industry stakeholders.
"We hope that through this program the Ministry of Communication and Informatics can produce 150 digital startups by 2024 that have succeeded in developing their business scale in terms of the number of users, total income, employment, and funding from venture capital," said Pangerapan.
Startup Studio Indonesia is a program of the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, aimed at assisting and fostering digital startups that are in the product-market fit process so that they can develop more rapidly. Launched in 2020, Startup Studio Indonesia has grown to become one of the most popular startup incubation and acceleration programs in Indonesia.
