TheIndonesia.id - The Immigration Office of Denpasar, Bali, deported a French male citizen named Rayan Jawad Henri Bitar, 31, who had earlier served a term of punishment for possession of meth and firearms.

 "He was deported, (and flown aboard) Scoot Airlines flight TR285 from Denpasar to Singapore on Monday (March 28) that took off at 2:30 p.m. local time and will be included in the deterrence list of the Directorate General of Immigration," Bali Regional Office Head of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Jamaruli Manihuruk stated in Denpasar on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Manihuruk explained that Bitar was subject to Article 99 Jo. 102 of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration. He also stressed that foreigners, who interfere with security and public order, can be placed on the list of deterrence for a lifetime.

 "After we report the deportation, a deterrence will be decided by the Directorate General of Immigration by looking at and considering the entire case," he stated.

 Earlier, Bitar was released from the penitentiary for criminal offenses, based on Article 127 Paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics Jo. Article 1 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of Indonesia No.12 of 1951.

 His criminal offense came to light in December 2020 when he was found to own two plastic seal bags containing meth weighing 0.62 gm and another weighing 4.81 gm. The Paris-born man also possessed a blade-type long-barreled firearm, stabilizer pistol, NAA 22LR revolver gun, Makarov firearm, and dozens of rounds of ammunition.

 "For his actions, he was rendered a guilty verdict in accordance with the decision of the Denpasar District Court No. 240/PID.SUS/2011/PN DPS dated June 16, 2011, and he was sentenced to one year and four months in prison," Manihuruk explained.

 After serving his term, Bitar was released from the Bangli Narcotics Class IIA Prison and handed over to the Immigration Office Class I of Denpasar for deportation proceedings.
