Bali is the World's Happiest Holiday Destination, Vice Governor Says Thanks

TheIndonesia.id - Club Med reveals the world’s happiest holiday destination for 2022 is Bali. The Club found that Bali was the most popular destination for those in search of a happy, stress-free getaway. 

Bali came out on top due to the incredible spa and wellness centers it has to offer and amazing outdoor activities – perfect for those looking for both relaxation and adventure on their holiday.

Vice Governor of Bali Tjok Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati or Cok Ace expressed his gratitude because the Island of Gods was chosen as the happiest tourist destination according to a survey by Club Mediterranee or Club Med France. 

"Thank you, for establishing Bali as the number one tourist destination to make you happy. This is extraordinary and a good thing, the purpose of people wanting to travel is to be happy," said Cok Ace in Denpasar, Thursday night, August 18. 

For him, this award means that the world's tourist destinations should fall to Bali. In the survey, the French company stated that Bali surpassed Las Vegas and New Orleans, the world's leading tourist destinations in the United States. Some of the determining factors in the survey are crime rates, safety, pollution, and the price of drinks in various destinations in the world. 

Vice Governor Cok Ace said several things that supported the formation of Bali as the happiest tourist destination and a number of other awards were humans, nature, and culture. "Our culture is very orderly, very open, then the people here are friendly, the nature is also beautiful," he told the media.

"We receive this award because to achieve this award is not easy. This is what we must continue to maintain and we hope that the people in Bali, whether involved in tourism or not, let us work together for Bali," said Cok Ace. 

Meanwhile, Cok Ace in his remarks when opening the Sanur Village Festival in Denpasar said Bali is safe to visit. This music festival, which was attended by the Deputy Governor of Cok Ace, became one of the starting points for the rise of tourism in Sanur from a slump for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following Bali; Las Vegas, New Orleans, Barcelona, and Amsterdam ranked as the top 5, with each offering a unique experience for tourists - making happiness a top priority. "New Orleans and Barcelona were great options for those in search of an LGBTQ+ friendly destination, both scoring the maximum LGBTQ+ rank - so you will be as happy as can be on your holiday!" Club Med wrote on their website as TheIndonesia.id quoted on August 19, 2022.

When searching for the holiday destination that will make you the happiest, Europe is a great option, with 2 destinations ranking in the top 5. Amsterdam in particular had the highest safety score of our top 5 destinations.
