TheIndonesia.id - Indonesia’s unicorn Traveloka and hospitality operator Accor has recently announced a new distribution partnership that will offer more options for customers to choose the desired properties across 13 countries on Traveloka’s platform.

Traveloka’s chief operating officer Alfan Hendro explained that prior to the collaboration, customers were already able to choose from the many Accor properties on the platform, but the partnership will expand options for customers to find the most suitable property.

“Through this partnership, we hope Accor and Traveloka can further expand the business, providing more access to more properties, room types, and available rates. [The partnership] also opens up the opportunity for a Traveloka-Accor promotion,” Hendro said on Monday, April 4, as reported by Antara.

Chief commercial officer of Accor Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea Kerry Healy added that the distribution partnership with Traveloka is important for Accor because Traveloka is predicted to become the group’s key distributor and partner in their growth across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

“This partnership will allow us to increase the value proposition for our guests across the region, allowing great booking options and flexibility for avid travelers. We believe Traveloka is our ideal partner to strengthen our visibility on the Indonesian market thanks to our complementary expertise in lifestyle and travel,” Healy said in a statement.

The partnership will also be supported with various marketing initiatives, including In-app Exposure, Traveloka LIVE, and social media collaborations that’s expected to drive travel recovery across Southeast Asia region.

Through this distribution platform, travelers will be able to book a wide selection of Accor hotels with access to real-time availability, competitive offers, dedicated mobile rates as well as ease of payment for any transactions completed on the app.

With more than 40 million monthly active users, Traveloka has managed to gain a strong local customer base in the region. And the collaboration will further cement its status as leader in the ticket and hotel booking industry with Accor’s close to 380 hotels in Southeast Asia.
