TheIndonesia.id - Bali Police Chief Inspector General Police Putu Jayaan Danu Putra said a precision quarantine monitoring application is ready to be used for International Travelers (PPLN) ahead of Bali International entrance's opening on February 4.

"There is a precise quarantine monitoring application and according to the directions, it will be applied to international travelers. They will later download the application as a means to monitor (their whereabouts) and during the quarantine process," said Putu Jayan Danu Putra in Denpasar, Bali, Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

Officers would later carry out quarantine surveillance with the application. With the application, quarantined participants cannot go out over a radius of 250 meters from the hotel where the quarantine is located.

"Yes, it can certainly minimize quarantine tourists from escaping. (When the application has been) downloaded in one area, when they leave (the area), there will be a notification or alarm to the officer that the person concerned has left the specified area, a radius of 250 meters from the hotel location," he said.

The application usage has been simulated at Benoa Harbor when fishermen from outside enter Bali. After downloading the application, the PPLN will undergo quarantine under government regulations.

Meanwhile, the Bali Police Chief guarantees this application is safe from cybercrimes. "Police Headquarters can anticipate because it was not made by the Bali Police but the Police Headquarters and it is guaranteed secure from hackers who might interfere," he said.

Previously, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment as Deputy Chair of the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC PEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said international entrances in Bali would begin to reopen on February 4, 2022. The opening of the Bali entrance is only intended for non-Indonesian migrant workers overseas travelers (PPLN non-PMI).
