Aide to Inspector General Ferdy Sambo's Wife Becomes Murder Suspect

TheIndonesia.id - The Director of General Crimes (Dirtipidum) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General of Police Andi Rian Djajadi stated that the reason why Brigadier Ricky Rizal or Brigadier RR, Ferdy Sambo's wife aide, was named a suspect. It was because investigators had obtained sufficient evidence.

"The reason is that two pieces of evidence are sufficient to establish his status as a suspect," said Djajadi when confirmed in Jakarta, Monday, August 8, 2022.

Djajadi did not specify what the two pieces of evidence were, and what was the role of Brigadier RR in the shooting incident that killed Brigadier Nofriansyah Yosua Hutabarat or Brigadier J at the official house of the Head of the Professional and Security Division of the Police at the Duren Tiga Police Complex, South Jakarta on Friday, July 8.

"This is investigation material, not for publication," said the head of the Investigation Team for the Special Criminal Investigation Team of the National Police.

Previously, investigators had arrested the driver and an aide to Putri Chandrawathi, the wife of Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, with initials Bharada RE and Brigadier RR. Bharada RE is Bharada Richard Eliezer Pudihang Lumiu or Bharada E who has been named a suspect and was detained on Wednesday, August 3.

Meanwhile, Brigadier RR has been detained since Sunday, August 7, at the Police Criminal Investigation Department's Detention Center. Brigadier RR was charged with Article 340 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code.

This article is different from the alleged article against Bharada E, namely Article 338 in conjunction with Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code. Both were named suspects based on police reports from Brigadier J's family, related to the alleged premeditated murder Article 340 of the Criminal Code concerning premeditated murder, in conjunction with 338, in conjunction with 351 paragraph (3) in conjunction with 55 and 56 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, related to this case, the Special Inspectorate (Irsus) of the National Police Timsus examined 25 Polri personnel who violated unprofessional procedures in handling the Duren Tiga crime scene (TKP), South Jakarta. Of the 25 people, four of them were placed in a special place, one of which was Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo, who was placed in a special place for 30 days at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Kelapa Dua, Depok for examination.

The joint team of the Special Inspectorate carried out a special inspection on Inspector General of Police Ferdy Sambo who was suspected of violating procedures in handling the criminal act of the death of Brigadier J at the official house of the Head of the Professional and Security Division of the Police. The team has examined 10 witnesses and some evidence related to the alleged violation of procedures by Ferdy Sambo in the handling of the Duren Tiga crime scene.

Then for the first time Ferdy Sambo's wife, Putri Chandrawathi, appeared to the public when she visited her husband at the Mobile Brigade Headquarters, Klapa Dua Depok, Sunday, August 7. "I am Putri (Chandrawathi), with children. I trust and sincerely love my husband, I ask for prayers so that our family can go through this difficult time. And I sincerely forgive all the actions that we and our family have experienced," said Chandrawathi.

It has been one month since the shooting of Brigadier J took place since the incident occurred on Friday, July 8. Two people have become suspects. Ferdy Sambo was also placed at the Mobile Brigade Command Headquarters for examination for 30 days.
