MV Kelud is functioned as floating hotel for Mandalika MotoGP spectators

TheIndonesia.id - The West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government stated that spectators of the Pertamina International Grand Prix of Indonesia or Mandalika MotoGP 2022 who had not yet received accommodation could take advantage of the floating hotel Motor Vessel Kelud which provides 1,500 beds. There is also a shuttle service connecting to the Mandalika Circuit.

"The floating hotel has a capacity of 2,000 passengers and is anchored at Gili Mas Pier, Lembar District, West Lombok," said Head of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Transportation Agency, Lalu M. Faozal, in a written statement in Praya, Thursday, March 17, 2022.

He said MV Kelud is ready to serve the spectators of the Mandalika MotoGP 2022 which will be held March 18-20, 2022, at Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, Central Lombok. "People who are fully vaccinated and have MotoGP tickets can stay at KM Kelud," he said.

MV Kelud is a 2,000-passenger type vessel that can provide beds for about 2,000 people. However, only 1,500 beds are used as a floating hotel with a praying room and canteen facilities. "The floating hotel service does not provide breakfast, but there is a canteen on the ship," he said.

There is also a "shuttle service" connecting Gili Mas Port with Mandalika between 06.00-12.00 Lombok time and Mandalika-Gili Mas between 12.00-06.00 Lombok time from 17-21 March 2022. West Nusa Tenggara Transportation Agency also prepares 281 free buses for MotoGP spectators. Currently, 82 buses are in Mataram and immediately placed at their respective posts.

"Furthermore, there were 201 buses that entered (Mataram), bringing the total to 283 buses," he said.

He detailed, 92 units are ready at the ex-Selaparang Airport, Mataram, consisting of medium buses and 10 buses with a capacity of 40 passengers. There are 27 buses at Lombok International Airport, 30 units at Kayangan Port.

"For Kayangan, there are also paid Hiace or Elf cars. Including at Lembar Harbor or Gili Mas as many as 92 medium buses and Bangsal Harbor as many as 42 minibusses," he said.

But of course, there are conditions to enter the Mandalika area. "The requirement to enter the Mandalika area is to have a MotoGP ticket, have the PeduliLindung application," he said.
