Apart from the endless demands of work and social obligations, there are medical reasons that can explain why you always experience prolonged fatigue.

If you have chronic fatigue, you might need to see a doctor to get diagnosed. Not getting enough sleep is one of the reasons why you may be tired. Other possible reasons include stress, nutrient deficiency, underlying health condition, and many others.  

Quoting Women's Health, here are several reasons why you always feel tired.

1. Consuming Excess Sugar and Carbohydrates

When you eat sweet foods containing high in refined carbohydrates, such as white bread, pasta, and various pastries, you can increase your blood sugar. 

This condition can make you feel a bit active. If you constantly overload your body with sugar and refined carbohydrates, you may also develop something known as insulin resistance. It is when the body can't use the glucose as it should for energy. As a result, you will often feel tired. 

To fix it, reduce the amount of sugar and refined carbohydrates you consumed regularly. Limit added sugar intake to less than 10 percent of total daily calories.

2. Stress 

Stress is not only a mental problem but can also affect physical conditions. The mind and body have a close relationship, where they are always communicating with each other.

"When there is a change in your emotional state, either positive or negative, it is not uncommon for that change to show up in some physical way in your body as well," says Monifa Seawell, MD, a psychiatrist in Atlanta.

Acute stress can make you feel headaches, stomachaches, and fatigue. The way to overcome it is to fix the root problem of the condition.

While some causes of stress can not be avoided. Well, the best way to deal with this is to limit or manage stress well.

Dr. Seawell also recommends adding 20 to 30 minutes of exercise to your daily schedule. It is believed to help increase energy. If it's still the same, immediately consult an expert for further treatment.

3. Not having enough quality sleep

Adults have to get seven hours or more of sleep a night. If the time is less, then fatigue will come more quickly.

A minimum of seven hours of sleep is required for effective body rejuvenation and brain calm. If you left your body awake all night, it can trigger dizziness even though the body doesn't do anything.

The solution to this problem is to get enough sleep. Clean bedding, putting on aromatherapy, and playing your favorite song, are some of the ways that can make your eyes close quickly.

4. Depression

Depression can cause a variety of symptoms, one of which is energy loss which makes you feel tired all the time. Usually triggered by sleep deprivation and many thoughts.

This condition can be treated with psychotherapy, medication, or a combination of the two. However, it is better to consult with experts beforehand.

5. Consuming Too Much Caffeine

Caffeine is a drug, but once your body gets used to it, especially if you drink coffee or soda every day, it becomes an addiction.

As energizing as it is, caffeine can also trigger fatigue. Because, burning calories when the body has caffeine, makes you move so actively that you reach peak fatigue faster.

6. Lack of Nutrition

If you don't eat enough foods with a rich amount of nutrients, then energy levels can certainly decrease. To do even the smallest task is going to be difficult. Another result is you can experience constipation which can add to fatigue.

Make sure to eat a balanced diet, such as fruit, vegetables, and protein, which is very important to combat fatigue. With the right amount of nutrition, the body will be able to create the energy you need to carry out activities.

7. Detected Anemia

Anemia is a condition in which the number of red blood cells or hemoglobin is lower than normal.

While hemoglobin is an iron-rich protein that helps red blood cells carry oxygen from the lungs throughout the body.

If you have anemia, your body doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood. So, you with this condition are always met with excessive fatigue.

To reduce uncertainties, visit a doctor and ask if frequent fatigue is a sign that you have anemia.
